UX Designer & Researcher. Front-End Enthusiast. Avid Birder.
My key strengths lie in core UX methodologies and rapid prototyping with front-end languages. I've been blessed with several opportunities to work with passionate individuals including industry leaders, highly skilled peers, PhD candidates and expert faculty researchers from diverse backgrounds who have helped me acquire a deeper and balanced understanding of interaction and user experience design, research methods and practical experiences in varied contexts.
My experience has helped me develop my core skills in user centered design and research with a focus on interactive prototyping, designing proofs of concept and testing them with real world users.
I intend to keep applying what I have learned and continue embracing new technologies and research methods by seeking similar roles to promote my career which would help me diversify my portfolio and exposure.
At Lextant, I have primarily worked on automative interfaces but have also been exposed to all kinds of digital touchpoints such as websites and mobile apps in the retail, healthcare and e-commerce space. I have developed expertise with industry standard design and wireframing tools, calibrating and testing device prototypes and being able to draw valuable insights through interviews with real users via moderated testing sessions, research coding, theme-sheeting and affinity diagramming.
Previously, I briefly worked as a Software Engineer at Persistent Systems Ltd, India where I contributed as part of development team that worked on proprietary Business Intelligence and Analytics tools.
At the School of Informatics & Computing (IUPUI) I've worked as part of the Philanthropic Informatics Research Lab (PIRL) supervised by Dr. Amy Voida. Here I've mostly contributed to a research project that explored the advocacy of blogger networks and my responsibilities primarily focussed on exploring and developing optimum network visualization designs using D3.js and custom web-crawler script and paper writing. I was also a co-Teaching Assistant for the course Collaborative & Social Computing, taught by Dr. Amy Voida, where I was primarily responsible for evaluating graduate learning in a seminar-based classroom.
